“Le Petit Prince”is the last work and masterpiece of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a heroic aviator and writer who left his mark on the history of French aviation. It was written in New York during World War II in exile and published in 1943, around the same time he travelled to North Africa to join the Free French Army and disappeared the following year during a reconnaissance flight. The book, a fairy tale in form but full of profound insights into life, has spread around the world, transcending language and cultural barriers. It has been translated into more than 500 languages and dialects, and a total of 200 million copies have been published, a number that continues to grow today.

a Paris-based illustrator,
is known for her humorous take
on the happiness of everyday life.

Léa Maupetit’s illustrated world
is inspired by the little moments
of happiness in everyday life in Paris.

A graduate of Department of Spatial Design at the Kyoto University of the Arts. Since she was an elementary school student, she has made eraser stamps and drawn pictures. Since the end of 2020, she has worked on mt event limited edition tapes as Maruichikyu, one of the mt new creators. She creates masking tape designs with colorful eraser stamp pictures made by pressing several plates together.

n artist living in France. She started her career by self-publishing art books and has since consistently held solo exhibitions in France and abroad, especially in Japan. She is currently writing a long-running series of articles in the magazine“& Premium”entitled“Various Illustrations of Paris,”in which she illustrates the wonderful and delicious things to do in Paris. NHK TV program“Parisienne's Country Life”, in which she reported and introduced the handicrafts of French artisans, was broadcast for two seasons from 2021 to great acclaim.
She has published numerous books on various topics in both Japan and France.
